Corn prices continue to rise on B3, following Chicago, the dollar and premiums
Corn futures prices continued to move positively on the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3) on Tuesday (23). The main quotes fluctuated between R$60.96 and R$71.00 at around 1pm.
September/24 was quoted at R$60.96, up 0.88%, November/24 was worth R$64.93, up 0.67%, January/25 was trading at R$68.37, up 0.43%, and March/25 was worth R$71.00, up 0.23%.
According to Grão Direto's analysis, the rise in the dollar and premiums at the ports resulted in a very positive week for corn prices on the B3 and on the Brazilian domestic market.
Foreign market
On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CBOT), international corn prices also continued to move positively, advancing at around 12:46 pm (Brasília time).
September/24 was quoted at US$ 4.06 up 6.00 points, December/24 at US$ 4.21 up 6.75 points, March/25 at US$ 4.35 up 6.25 points and May/25 at US$ 4.45 up 5.75 points.
“Corn futures rose sharply in early trading to extend gains on further short covering due to the unfolding of the so-called 'Trump trade' and Monday's technical strength,” says the Brock Report, as reported by the international website Successful Farming.
