Soybeans rise again in Chicago on Friday, supported by a new surge in oil prices

Soybean prices are working in positive territory on the Chicago Stock Exchange this Friday (23), after a very volatile week and losses of more than 20 points in the previous session. Around 9:05 a.m. (Brasília time), the most traded contracts were up between 5.50 and 6.25 points, with November worth US$ 9.67 and March, US$ 10.00 per bushel.

The market has a new day of breath, of technical adjustments, but without much influence from the fundamentals, which are still - for the most part - negative, seeking to balance out before the weekend and the conclusion of the Pro Farmer Crop Tour. Data from Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota has been released and the outlook for all three states is very positive.

Similarly, news on the demand side has been an important point in recent days, with good announcements of US sales to China, a factor that has become an important pillar for oilseed prices on the CBOT. During the week, more than 1 million tons were sold by the Americans to the Asian nation and other destinations.

At the same time, this Friday saw a new surge in soybean oil, which rose more than 2% in Chicago, contributing to the advance of the grain. The most traded maturity was already seeking 40 cents per pound, quoted at 39.84 cents in December/24.
