Despite the drop in egg prices at the end of March, the monthly average is still up on February, according to Cepea surveys. As for the main inputs consumed in poultry farming, the values are behaving differently: while corn is appreciating strongly, soybean meal is showing price stability. As a result, Cepea's research shows that the purchasing power of laying poultry farmers in São Paulo has decreased in relation to cereal, but has increased in relation to soybean derivatives, reaching a new record.
