Soybeans give back the gains in Chicago and are slightly down on Wednesday; bran and oil stable
Soybean prices are falling slightly on the Chicago Stock Exchange this Wednesday (18), giving back the gains from the previous session. At around 7:20 am (Brasília time), prices were down between 0.75 and 1 point, with July at US$ 10.73 and September at US$ 10.59 per bushel.
The market has had a very confusing week, feeling the impacts of the highly tense geopolitical scenario influencing commodities - especially oil - and being divided between its fundamental issues, in addition to the behavior of derivatives, which have also been quite volatile.
This Wednesday morning, both - soybean meal and oil - are trading with modest gains in the most traded contracts on the CBOT.
Thus, the climate for the development of the new American harvest, demand from China - which remains concentrated in South America - and the pace of sales in Brazil and Argentina remain on the markets' radar, the latter being one of the main highlights of the market now, since the USA has only a little over 1 million tons of soybeans sold to date, due to the absence of China in its market.
