Soybeans rise again in Chicago on Thursday, with an eye on the general rise in agricultural commodities
On Thursday morning (24), soybean prices rose on the Chicago Stock Exchange. The market still needs new news, but it is adjusting to the scenarios it already knows and regaining its breath whenever possible after the declines. Thus, around 7:55 a.m. (Brasília time), prices were up 3.75 to 5 points in the main contracts, with September reaching US$ 10.09 and November reaching US$ 10.45 per bushel.
Traders are keeping an eye on fundamentals, which are keeping soybean prices under pressure at the moment. From another perspective, however, they find some support in the behavior of derivatives—especially soybean oil, which is now up more than 0.5%—and in the possibilities of an agreement between China and the United States.
In addition, on Thursday, the market also recorded a day of widespread gains for agricultural commodities, with soybeans following suit. Corn, wheat, and meal also rose on the CBOT.
